We know ya’ll are die-hard Secret Life of the American Teenager fans, but can you handle it if shiz gets real?
In the Season 3 finale of Secret Life coming up in a few weeks, Adrian and Ben rush to the hospital to pop out the sausage princess and they learn that the baby’s life is in danger! OMJayzus! Would the Secret Life writers really kill-off a baber? That’s unspeakably tragic, but then again, this show is all about keeping it real — and some babies sadly do die during childbirth.
If Badrian’s baby’s meets a tragic end, will you still watch Secret Life, or will you throw the remote control at the TV in the midst of your hysterical sob fest and call it quits?

Yea I would still watch the show. I know people like to see happy things, but they are trying to keep it real and this happens every single day. It's hard and one of the worst things to have to go through in life and they may want to explore that. If they do I hope its done right.
ReplyDeleteyes i will watch it anyway. i kind of want the baby to die, even if thats mean, cuz adrian and ben are NOT meant to be and adrians done some bad stuff in her life. she doesn't deserve a happy ending.

Yes,i'll still watch the show. Full term babies can and do die all the time in utero. Yes, it will be tragic if Adrian and Ben's baby does die, but this is a very real scenario that happens more often than people think and I think it's ABC's way of showing another side to teenage pregnancy or really just pregnancy in general. I've read so many comments from people who think that ABC "shouldn't and wouldn't" do "such a thing", but this is supposed to be based on "life" and things like this happen all the time. If ABC can focus on subjects like sex, pregnancy, and so on, which is what this show is all about, they can certainly focus on a very real scenario of having a still born baby. I would like to see how Adrian and Ben make out as parents, but if they do decide to go in the direction of the event that Adrian and Ben's baby dies, then I hope they do it right.
ReplyDeleteI will for sure they should have killed of the pregnancy long ago, adrian deserves what she coming to her, and to be real this does happen in real life to all sorts of people good people, bad people. I think one baby is good enough Amy's this show is about her and her baby let's focus on that again!!

ReplyDeleteAre you sure it is the death of the child that the previews are foretelling? When i saw it I immediately thought that Adrian was going to die in childbirth. That would leave Ben to raise a child on his own and suffer the grief of his loss much like his Father had to raise him. It would put a new spin on the story. Personally I think either the death of a child rather it be a teenager or a baby is a tough subject and am kinda disappointed with ABC Fam. for going in that direction when their target audience is so young. I understand that The show is trying to keep it real to portray the hardships and consequences of dealing with relationships and sex at a young age but death and loss is something you never want to see a child have to suffer through even if it is only a tv show.
ReplyDeletei would keep on watching it as well. i know this is sad and far fetch but this also happens in real life maybe the baby and mother dies.the old saying is childbirth is like having one foot in your grave and the other on a new life. this out come my also have teenagers think twice about having unprotected sex or sex until they are older b/c even though the chance of that happen is slim these days your ages does matter and goes higher if you are really young or much older. if it does happen that way then i can understand how that would really change everything. but then again if just the baby dies it still can mean that b/c ben and adrian both didnt really want to get married they got married for the wrong reasons and that was b/c she was pregnant. but now if there was no baby in the picture then what is keeping them together thats where the prenuptial comes in that his dad wanted him to get.

ReplyDeleteI have watched this show since it started and I will NOT stop watching this show come what may to Adrian and Ben. I do feel that the writers are keeping it real with what is always a possibility with pregnancies. I will say that when I seen the previews for the next episode it made me cry instantly. I was a single teen mom and I can say that my situation wasn't great but it's wasn't horrible. I graduated with my class and a 6 month old son who is to this day the most motivaiton I could have ever asked for... Good Job on the writting of this show!!!
